Originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Dr. MacDiarmid joined the Merivale Vision Care team in 1996. She started her bachelor of Science at the University of New Brunswick before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. MacDiarmid loves meeting new patients of all ages and helping them solve their eye problems. She enjoys providing comprehensive eye care to children and since adapting to her first progressive lens is especially passionate about workplace eyestrain.
Dr. MacDiarmid is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists. She is an active local mom who enjoys playing hockey and ringette and helping out with her daughter’s ringette and basketball teams.
Dr.MacDiarmid enjoys a busy fast paced practice, she employs state of the art diagnostic technology and offers excellent vision product knowledge. She believes in a collaborative approach to vision care. Her vision care services include:
